Are you interested in delving into the intricacies and depths of Jewish thought?

Are you ready to tackle Talmud, Chumash (Torah text) and other Jewish classics, with the aim of acquiring language and textual skills (and timeless Jewish wisdom)?

Are you excited about the opportunity to live in Jerusalem and to experience growing in your Jewishness in this unique and historical environment?

The Mechina Program is designed for, and caters to, intelligent and motivated students who are interested in devoting an appropriate period of time to achieve their Jewish goals in a warm and encouraging environment. The program has two levels:

  • Level One – combines classes given by famed lecturers and educators including Rabbi Dovid Gottlieb, Rabbi Yitzchak Breitowitz, Rabbi Dovid Kaplan, Rabbi Guy Matalon, Rabbi Y. Ullman and others, together with accessible and engaging courses on basic level Gemara, Mishna and Chumash.
  • Level Two – focuses on achieving independence in translating, analyzing and comprehending the Gemara and Rashi's commentary through highly interactive classes and dynamic chavruta learning.
Students on both levels may also attend classes on Jewish Law, Jewish Philosophy, Navi (the Prophets) and Chumash and have the opportunity to enhance their learning by studying privately with a rabbi or an advanced yeshiva student.

Mechina is personalized: Students can join at any time of the year, and can stay for as little or as long as they'd like. Occasional educational and enjoyable tours around Israel are offered throughout the year. Scholarships are available.
